Small differences in printhead family, configuration, coding, connectors, and ink system can matter. A visual match alone is not enough.

Printhead identification

Use labels, connections, and ink-system evidence together.

Printheads from the same broad family can still differ by code, configuration, connector, or intended ink system. Confirmation should use the installed machine and the existing component, not a visual resemblance from one angle.

Confirmation steps

  • Photograph the full label and code without glare, plus every connector and cable orientation.
  • Record the machine model, current printhead family, ink chemistry, and any available test output.
  • Keep the old component available for dimension and connection comparison until compatibility is confirmed.
